"Thus says the Lord God, 'Behold, I am the one who has laid a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: Whoever believes will not be in haste.'" Isaiah 28:16
"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord." Ephesians 2:19-21
Without a solid foundation anything that is built is in jeopardy of crashing down. That's why the Creator of the universe gave us the Church.
God's Word says, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17). God entrusts to the Church His precious message of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ so that it can be proclaimed to the ends of the earth. From those seeds faith grows which is the foundation for an abundant life full of hope, love, joy and peace. (John 10:10, Galatians 5:22-23). That's why the author of Hebrews describes the Church as a "kingdom that cannot be shaken." (Hebrews 12:28)
In The Foundation of Faith study we will explore the key components of our faith as learned from God's Word and passed down through the Church for thousands of years. We hope that you will consider joining us for this important series. Even if you can't come for every session please join us when you can. Those who participate will also have the opportunity to join our Church family when we finish.
